Joined Fairchild in 2018, Frances heads the marketing and media initiatives for Saltagen. She believes “Good content isn’t about good storytelling. It’s about telling a true story well.” - Ann Handley. Her job at Saltagen is to tell people how committed Saltagen has been doing to empower startups to grow their business across the border, connecting Canadian and Hong Kong ecosystem.
Before stepping into the world of venture capital, Frances was an Assistant Vice President in China Construction Bank (Asia) where she led multiple bank-wide projects and oversaw the internal communications function of the organization.
Prior to her career with China Construction Bank (Asia), she worked for the Commercial and Marketing team of L’Oreal Luxe Travel Retail Asia Pacific and Estée Lauder Companies. She provided branding and marketing support to various brands, such as L’Oreal, Maybelline, The Body Shop and Clinique, to help them on the journey to penetrate different markets in the Asia-Pacific region.
Frances holds a Bachelor of Business from The University of Hong Kong, where she majored in Marketing. Outside of work, Frances is a florist, registered yoga teacher and advanced open water diver.
